Romain G&A

ROMAIN VICENTE started his carreer as drummer in France by playing simultaneously in a classical orchestra and a punk rock band. Being sort of an eclectic sensitive alien on the drums defined Romain Vicente’s playing very early.

Then Romain studied music in Bordeaux and got in touch with new kinds of music by playing and learning (and learning by playing) jazz, salsa, blues, ska, funk, metal, dub, gospel, swing, reggae, soul, and many others…

Among those years in Bordeaux, Romain got involved in several eccentric projects : Theatrical 18 piece street big band, Danny Elfman inspired psychedelic rock band, Damaging rock’n’roll with Fanalo on guitar (Plug in, Bumblefoot), Disco sparkly glittering half naked Brass band…

Later on Romain got interested in learning other instruments like guitar or trombone… and then his musical and artistic schizophrenia just got worse…

Like most of artists, Romain got stuck with an idea. “His skills weren’t sufficiant enough”. That melted with a desire of travel and discovering foreign cultures, he applied to study music abroad (Uk, Germany, U.S.A).

After a year studying music at the Tech Music School in London he is now based in Berlin mixing styles, genres and instruments, playing with various artists in different countries.

And you know what? He loves it!! :)
